Librarians working with consumers and communities are now called upon to assist people, not in enrolling for health insurance, but in using health insurance—learning new terminology and navigating the health care system with their health insurance coverage.

Join Affordable Care Act (ACA) expert and author Emily Vardell as she provides ACA updates and practical guidance on:

the ACA timeline, focusing on what librarians need to know
resources to support consumers’ use of health insurance
partnerships between librarians, ACA practitioners, and community members
achieving successful ACA outreach
locating ACA datasets

Vardell is the editor of The Medical Library Association Guide to Answering Questions about the Affordable Care Act and a researcher in the areas of health insurance literacy and decision-making.
